About the Author
Gordon Richard Barnett was born in 1923 at Penn Run, Pennsylvania, a village near Indiana, Pennsylvania, to Clarence Henry and Lucy Minerva Barnett. A retired navy commander, Barnett has also ventured into the life insurance business with the Prudential Life Insurance Company. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at San Diego State University 1963 in business management. He earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) degree in 1969. He also earned a Master of Science degree at Pepperdine University in 1974 in city management and urban studies.
